Background
Hey you out there! I’m quite intimidated by you reading this! Especially if you’re following me. So know that while I like posting the likeable/rebloggable graphic/quote/whatever, a lot of this is a personal journal that’s for the friends and fam. So feel free to unfollow or just be prepared for some texty posts you’ll have no interest in. For the long version of what I’ve just said, keep reading.
I started this blog as something just for me. Then I decided to open it up to family as a way to keep in touch during college (no it’s not because I’m too lazy to write everyone e-mails, it’s practical!). Then a couple friends wanted to know what was going on. And finally, much to my surprise, other people across the interwebs have stumbled upon it and I suppose kind of liked it!
It’s funny because half the time I still feel like it’s my own personal diary. Towards the end of a post I’ll start to realize that other people are going to be reading this so that means I need to go back and proofread, edit, try and make a coherent theme and whatnot, all that good stuff. (Oh and I generally try to hold off on the cursing since my grandparents may or may not check in from time to time.)
To the point? I decided that I might as well give a little background - nothing too revealing, don’t worry mom, but just something so if you’ve stumbled on this and want to stick around, you know what’s going on.
Mom is mom, dad is dad, and Jane is my big sister who I admire to no end. Annie is my best friend since sixth grade.
As you can likely figure out my home is in Wisconsin but I’m currently attending George Washington University in Washington DC. I’ve always wanted to be in politics (cut to the quick? I want to BE Josh Lyman) and this is my four year go of it.]
I’ve always loved the big block of cheese episodes from the West Wing and I adore the show, so that’s where I get the name. The show you’ll see the most is Community, but 30 Rock, the West Wing, Arrested Development, Weeds, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Office, and Parks and Rec are all sure to make appearances.
